With thousands of years of history, classical Chinese dance infuses traditional Chinese thought and expression into a strikingly complex and expressive system of dance. Mirrors, copper made, have been in use in China since the Shang Dynasty. The ancients thought of mirrors as a way of self-reflection. They said, “using copper as a mirror, you can adjust your attire; using the past as a mirror, you can learn from history; and using people as mirrors, you can learn from the experience of others.”
